Numill Tooling Solutions welcomed Chris Grayling MP, the Secretary of State for Transport, to its Sheffield facility earlier this month.

During the private visit, Mr Grayling learnt more about the company’s links the industry during talks with engineers. He was particularly focused on the rail sector as this is a key area of development affecting the area with HS2 and HS3 high on the agenda.

The Secretary of State showed great interest in the work undertaken and value proposition offered by Numill, which is an EIA member. The remanufacturing of tooling has a part to play in the 'whole of life ethos' as part of the circular economy.

Anne Wilson MBE, EIA director, said: “It was a great pleasure to be able to welcome him and have the opportunity to speak directly to a government minister having chance to discuss issues affecting both global and regional economic growth.”

He concluded: “It was a pleasure to be able to show the minister work being completed by our team of engineers for Ford Dagenham Engine Plant amongst others including a large export shipment bound for Sweden.”
